2007 see's some HUGE music releases!
Posted Friday, December 29 2006

2007 looks to be another huge year for music with many highly anticipated album releases and returns by some of Australia's and the world's biggest stars.

On top of that list is pop princess, Delta Goodrem, who will return to the limelight mid way through 2007 with her third yet to be titled album. Goodrem has almost completed the recording of the album, as yet no date has been set on it's release.

The Veronicas, though won't be releasing a new album, will be concentrating on breaking the UK market and Europe. Lisa says, "we're still getting ready to release the album in March in the UK, we're getting ready to release it in parts of Europe where it hasn't already been released and also Asia so there's still so much touring on this first album that we've got left to do."

"Id say we'll start working on the second record more on the second half of next year," adds Jess. But the girl's aren't ruling their Australian fans out of their 2007 schedule. "we've got other things in the works like our own fashion lines and make up ranges and other fun stuff that we like to be involved in so that's going to keep us busy too."

Janet Jackson will return in 2007 with a new full length album set for release in the first quater as will brother Michael Jackson. Stacey Orico will also hit the scene with a new single on February 17.

Joss Stone will release her new album in March and the third album by Norah Jones with her new album 'Not Too Late' released January 27. Silverchair unleash their first new album in 5 years in the first half of the year.

Warner Music will release Amiel's comeback album earlier in the year. Australian Idol's Damien Leith, Dean Geyer and Jessica Mauboy will all release albums in the first half of the year.

The Atari's will unleash thier fifth studio album to Australian fans in mid February as will the new album by US rockers Fall Out Boy.

Darren Hayes will return with his third solo album. The release will be a double CD album and Hayes' has plans to release this album himself after leaving SonyBMG in mid 2006.

One release all eyes will be on next year also will be the comeback album by popstar Vanessa Amorosi who has had to shy away from the music scene due to contractual reasons. But in 2007 Amorosi returns with a new management team, a new recording deal with Universal Music and a new album set for release on March 3.

Switchfoot (Jan 13), Alkaline Trio (Feb 3), Harry Connick Jr (Feb 3), Joel Turner (Feb 3), Lenny Kravitz (Feb 10), Deftones (Feb 17), The Hot Lies (March 3) and Josh Pyke (March 10) are all releasing new albums.

And on top of that Candice Alley will make her return with her new album in the second half of 2007 as will Kylie Minogue, James Blunt, Arctic Monkeys, Sick Puppies, Panic! At The Disco and Vandalism.

What a year ahead!!
